Wine Tasting Festival in Mumbai

Last week, my friend (from Pune) wrote on her FB status, “tasted about 12 different wines and had two glassfuls at the Chateau Indage wineyards, but finally got high on poetry and fiction.” And I was envying her. Does tasting wine really get you high on poetry?….that would be fun…!! And imagine tasting 12 different wines, gulping one after the other, Slurp! Slurp! Slurp you go, if not knowing exactly how it should be actually tasted then you may go high ...or else, a creative person, like her, will reasonably get high on poetry, maybe it might do you good too.

But wait a minute… there is the way to taste the wine.. You don’t just slurp it down your throat….to enjoy wine you have to “Look, smell, taste - starting with your basic senses and expanding from there you will learn how to taste wines like the pros in no time!”

And you could enjoy this at 'Wine Festival' that starts on November 7th at 11am. The two days ‘Festival Programs’ includes live music too. There will be wine appreciation talks by experts, cheese tasting, barbecue, gourmet finger food and wine, wine, wine.

Wow!! A perfect way to spend a weekend on Mumbai shores!! What more could one ask???

The name "Bombay" was derived from 'Bom Bahia' (The Good Bay),

.... a name given by Portuguese sailor Francis Almeida, in 1508 ....“Bounce back Mumbai” .....as it is called by the locals, it is a city that has been through a lot in the recent past – floods, bomb blasts, riots – and come out stronger each time.

Whats the Time Please?
